Axelrod's Misstep Lifts the Curtain (Just a Little)
November 23rd, David Axelrod stated clearly that President-elect Obama had spoken with Gov. Blagojevich about who should replace him as an Illinois state Senator. He even expounded on that by saying that there were several names mentioned and Obama was fond of some of them. Now that Gov. B. has been arrested, he and Senator Obama say the conversations didn't take place. Something stinks to high heaven about this and the American people should really be outraged, but I'm guessing they're not. Either Axelrod or Obama are lying, or Axelrod routinely pretends that Obama is "working" or "negotiating" to get an issue resolved when Obama's doing nothing of the sort. Either way, there's a problem. So many Americans have decided to "give Obama a chance" and just refuse to even raise the question of why Axelrod made a statement that was clearly either a lie or a misrepresentaton of Obama's actions. Wow, this is shades of Clinton all over again...
